Terms and Conditions

This Enrollment Terms & Participation Agreement (“Agreement”) governs participation in programs, activities, and community offerings organized by Poised Journey Academy, LLC (“PJA”).
By enrolling in or participating in Poised Journey Academy programs, parents/guardians and students acknowledge and agree to the following terms.

1. Program Purpose

Poised Journey Academy (PJA) provides innovative educational experiences designed to support whole-person development through mentorship, experiential learning, and community engagement.
Learning opportunities are organized through Journey Blocks, mentorship experiences, and community offerings that support growth across the following domains:

  • Physical
  • Occupational
  • Intellectual
  • Social
  • Emotional
  • Divine Spiritual Purpose

Programs may include hybrid supplemental learning, homeschool support pathways, community roundtables, field experiences, Spark Sessions, and other educational opportunities offered through The Poised Table community network.
Participation in Poised Journey Academy programs indicates agreement with the terms outlined in this Agreement.

2. Enrollment Categories & Fees

Poised Journey Academy offers several participation pathways.

Supplemental Education Hybrid Program:

Students participating in the hybrid supplemental education program are assessed an annual enrollment fee of $75 per school year.

Homeschool Path (ESP Partnership):

Students participating through an Education Service Provider (ESP) partnership pathway may enroll without an annual enrollment fee.

Independent Community Access:

Individuals wishing to access community opportunities through The Poised Table may enroll with a $75 annual community membership fee.
Some events, journeys, field experiences, or mentorship programs may include additional participation fees.

3. Orientation Requirement

All families participating in Poised Journey Academy programs must attend an orientation session prior to enrollment or participation.
Orientation provides an overview of:

  •  The Journey Block learning model
  • Mentorship expectations
  •  Participation guidelines
  •  Safety procedures
  • Documentation of learning experiences

Participation in orientation ensures that families understand the structure and expectations of the Poised learning ecosystem.

4. Student Participation Model

Learning opportunities may include:
  • Mentorship experiences
  •  Project-based learning
  • Community engagement
  • Experiential field experiences
  • Independent learning projects
  • Professional instruction provided by community experts

Participation may occur in various environments including:
  • Community buildings
  • Private businesses offering learning space
  • Public facilities such as school district properties
  • Outdoor environments
  • Professional workplaces
  • Community event spaces

Students may participate in Journey Blocks, community roundtables, Spark Sessions, field trips, or other educational gatherings organized through Poised Journey Academy.

5. Parent Responsibilities

Parents or guardians play an active role in supporting student learning and agree to:

  • Participate in the onboarding orientation
  • Ensure students follow program expectations
  • Support documentation of learning experiences when required
  • Communicate with mentors or program advisors when necessary
  • Maintain respectful participation in community events
    Parents are responsible for supervising their child’s transportation to and from activities unless otherwise specified.

6. Assumption of Risk

Participation in educational experiences may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Physical activity
  • Travel to off-site locations
  • Use of tools or equipment
  • Outdoor activities
  • Interaction with other participants and instructors

By enrolling in Poised Journey Academy programs, parents acknowledge these risks and voluntarily accept responsibility for their child’s participation.
Poised Journey Academy acts primarily as an educational organizer and administrative liaison connecting families with learning opportunities and community professionals.

7. Independent Contractor Role

Many learning experiences are facilitated by Professionals with a Passion, who are independent contractors.
These professionals:

  • are not employees of Poised Journey Academy
  • are not employees of participating school districts
  • are responsible for their own instructional methods, safety procedures, and professional practices

Poised Journey Academy does not control the daily operations, teaching methods, or materials used by independent professionals offering educational experiences.

8. Hold Harmless & Indemnification

In consideration of participation in Poised Journey Academy programs, parents and guardians agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless:

  • Poised Journey Academy, LLC
  • Its owners, staff, and affiliates
  • Collaborating organizations
  • Participating professionals
  • Partner school districts (when applicable)

from any claims, liabilities, damages, or injuries arising from participation in educational experiences, travel to activities, or presence at events.

9. Medical Authorization

In the event of an emergency, parents authorize supervising professionals or event coordinators to seek appropriate emergency medical care for their child if necessary. Parents acknowledge that they are responsible for any medical costs incurred as a result of such care.

10. Media & Educational Promotion

Poised Journey Academy may document learning experiences through photos, video, or written reflections for educational or promotional purposes. Parents grant permission for these materials to be used by Poised Journey Academy unless written notice declining such permission is provided. Student privacy will be respected whenever possible.

11. Withdrawal from the Program

Families may withdraw from Poised Journey Academy programs at any time.
Withdrawal may require submission of a formal notification.
If applicable:

  • Participation in events may end immediately
  • Access to community programming may be discontinued
  • Program materials or devices must be returned if issued

12. Non-Compliance

Failure to comply with program expectations may result in:
  • Probationary status
  • Suspension from specific activities
  • Removal from programs or community offerings

Examples of non-compliance may include:
  • Failure to follow safety guidelines
  • Repeated disruption of learning environments
  • Misuse of program resources
  • Failure to meet participation expectations when required for specific programs

Poised Journey Academy reserves the right to remove participants whose actions jeopardize the safety or integrity of the learning community.

13. Acknowledgment & Consent

By enrolling in or participating in Poised Journey Academy programs, parents and students acknowledge that they have:

  • Read this Agreement
  • Understood the terms outlined
  • Accepted responsibility for participation
  • Agreed to abide by program expectations


Participation in Poised Journey Academy programs constitutes acceptance of these terms.
